ABSTRACT
The article reports on the potential of stainless crude steel production to recover after the decrease in production in 2007 as forecasted by the International Stainless Steel Forum (ISSF) in Brussels, Belgium. ISSF sees a 29 million metric tons of global stainless crude steel production in 2008. The outlook is based on a premise that real demand will increase by roughly six percent.
