ABSTRACT
The article reports on a facility created by American Steel LLC in Portland, Oregon. The facility will be used for the production of laser-quality, cut-to-length light- and heavy-gauge steel. The firm has employed technology from Bradbury Co. and plasma-cutting machines and oxy-fuel cutting machines to attain its production goals. The 195,000-square foot facility is set to open in September 2008.
