ABSTRACT
The article reports on the weakening bookings of semiconductor manufacturing equipment worldwide. As stated by market research analysts at Gartner Inc., the data affirms a decrease of 20% which is expected in April 2007, but its estimate is anticipated to increment by 2008. Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI) said that expenditures on worldwide production is predicted to decrease as semiconductor producers are instructed to hold back the operation of fabrication projects.
