ABSTRACT
The article reports on the issue regarding the plan of Katie Couric to resign as lead anchor on "The CBS Evening News" of CBS Broadcasting Inc. in Los Angeles, California. Accordingly, after leaving her current night job, Couric could be interested in succeeding Larry King at Cable News Network (CNN). The author emphasized that people might conclude that were Couric and CBS News to part ways in a matter of months, it would represent a less tragic defeat.
