Nanosized NiO particles wrapped into uniformly mesocaged silica frameworks as effective catalysts of organic amines

The article focuses on the use of nanosized nickel-oxygen (NiO) particles wrapped into silica frameworks as effective catalysts of organic amines based on a study. Large particle-like monoliths and three-dimensional (3D) cage nanostructures were controlled by the application of an instant preformed liquid crystalline phase of Brij 78 surfactant as a template. Researchers used various scanning techniques to characterize the catalysts such as scanning electron microscopy (SEM). NiO silica matrices were formed despite of the high amounts of nickel.
