ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the major human resource (HR) recruitment drive launched by Jaguar Land Rover following its acquisition from Ford by Tata Group. HR director Des Thurlby said that the function would increase its headcount from 105 to 130 in 2008 for support services previously provided by Ford. New hires will range from graduates to specialists in compensation and benefits and occupational psychology. Extra staff will also be needed to support business growth and recruit up to 600 employees, mainly graduate engineers, for the new organization.
