'Read around the world' - Collection development, without a budget!

The article discusses the shortage of funds faced by Launceston City Library and Flexible Learning Center in Tasmania. It states that librarians are faced with difficulties in choosing collection development and the spending of their small allocation of funding. Thus, librarians initiated a program to develop social interaction at the Technical and Further Education (TAFE) by making library a venue to visit and promote in the general community.
