ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the leadership of Cynthia Carroll at Anglo American Plc., one of the largest mining firm in the world. Carroll's appointment as CEO of Anglo in March 2007, made her the first woman ever to head the male-dominated industry. Under her leadership, she was able to acquire small deals including the Brazilian iron ore business for $6.7 billion.
