ABSTRACT
The author reflects on the problems associated on the involvement of U.S. Senators Kent Condrad and James Johnson, and chairman of the banking committee, Chris Dodd in the Friends of Angelo (FOA) loans in Washington. He states that the borrowers have received loans with preferential terms, which serves as a violation to the lending policy of the program. Further, he reveals that preferential terms enjoyed by Senators manifests inequality between borrowers of the program.
