ABSTRACT
The article discusses two species of Orthophytum (O.), the O. graomogolense and O. piranianum, which were found in the Grão-Mogol State Park in Minas Gerais, Brazil. Descriptions of the plants' anatomy are provided. Both of the plants are terrestrial, propagating by basal rhizomes, but without shoots originated from the inflorescence. The morphological differences between the two are also offered.
