ABSTRACT
The article reports that IFC Films has acquired rights to writer-director Barry Jenkin's drama picture "Medicine for Melancholy." The film stars Wyatt Cenac and Tracy Heggins and was produced by Justin Barber and Cherie Saulter. IFC intends to release the film in 2009 via its simultaneous theatrical and video-on-demand day-and-date distribution program.
