The article reports that Deutsche Bahn AG is anxious to ensure that its passenger train fleet will be able to meet the demands of future customers. On August 17, 2007, Deutsche Bahn confirmed that tenders will be invited later in the year for a fleet of around 10 high speed trains able to operate on international routes at up to 350 kilometers per hour. Driving this project is the opening up of the international passenger market in 2010.
