ABSTRACT
The article reports on glass ornaments from Formosa, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand. Formosan ornaments have distinctive polychromes and are commonly worn by the aborigines. Heirloom bead necklaces are part of the tradition and history of jewelry making in the Philippines. Glass ornaments from Indonesia and Malaysia are imports from India, China and Europe. They have a distinctive monochrome and have considerable size.
