ABSTRACT
The article discusses the controversy surrounding the construction of a border wall at the southern tip of Texas. It states that while federal funding has been announced for the construction, local government opposition has formed at the western end. El Paso County, Texas commissioners have voted 3 to 1 on a resolution demanding a halt to the construction. U.S. Representative Silvestre Reyes said that the Department of Homeland Security is not communicating with the border communities.
