ABSTRACT
The article reports on the proposal to drill the federally-protected Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) in Alaska. The plan aims to increase the demand for oil production which has been affected by the increase of oil prices in the U.S. By recovering oil from the area, supporters believe that oil price will lessen by 41 cents and by $1.44 per barrel in 2028. Study reveals there are between 5.7 billion and 16 billion barrels of recoverable oil in the wildlife refuge.
