The article discusses the activation of a database at the provincial library center of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany on the 60th anniversary of the province. The database of persons contains brief biographies of nearly 5,000 citizens of public interest who were born, died, or lived in the borders of the palatinate, including luminaries such as Karl Marx and Hildegard von Bingen.
