ABSTRACT
The article offers information on "Outdoor Discovery," an electronic newsletter launched by the New York Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC). The newsletter was launched to encourage families to explore the outdoors and learn about the environment together. It contains schedules for upcoming events at the Environmental Education Centers of DEC, information about a timely environmental or nature topic and suggestions for related family activities. Upcoming issues will include event information and articles about birding and young wildlife.
