ABSTRACT
The author calls on mattress producers and retailers to stand up to a group of marketers who are spreading the claim that mattress manufacturers are adding dangerous chemicals to add fire-resistant protection to their mattresses. The author asserts that the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has established federal mattress flammability regulations and has released its findings concerning the use of fire-resistant materials.
