Avnet expands Indian enterprise IT footprint with Ontrack acquisition

The article reports that Phoenix, Arizona-based electronic component, computer product and technology services distributor Avnet Inc. announced that it will acquire Mumbai, India-based Ontrack Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Established in 1993, Ontrack operates from nine locations in India, and counts customers in a number of end markets such as banking, industrial and manufacturing. Avnet said it will leverage Ontrack's existing capabilities to build a value-added distribution business throughout India.
