The article reports on the increased merger and acquisitions activities of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. as emphasized by chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) J. Patrick Gallagher in Illinois. He asserts that the firm has 11 acquisitions in 2008 with an estimated revenue of $31 million. He adds that has not seen many high-quality opportunities since the firm started buying companies. He contends that the firm will be in a very difficult time over 2008 and 2009.
