ABSTRACT
The article provides a summary of the political, economic and business risk ratings for Latvia s of June 2008. According to the Latvian Central Election Committee, over 149,064 of the required signatures have been collected in support of a bill which will raise the state pension. Supporters of the bill reportedly favour raising pension so they are in line with the minimum subsistence level. Latvia's political risk rating remains at 84.8 as of June 2008. In the business side, the central bank noted an increase in new investors entering the Latvian market.
