Country Report
The article provides a summary of the political, economic and business risk ratings for Slovakia. The Slovak and Czech governments have agreed to liberalise the cross-border trade in electricity in a memorandum of understanding signed by both countries' industry ministers on May 23, 2008. As reported, Slovakia's political risk rating remains at 82.5 as of June 2008. In the economic side, real average wage growth in Slovakia reportedly climbed higher to 6.2% year-on-year, up from 4.5% in the fourth-quarter of 2007.
