ABSTRACT
The article profiles Lake Katrine, New York-based artist David Freda, honorable mention at the 1984 Ornament Jewelry International Competition. While studying for a Bachelor of Fine Arts in metalsmithing and drawing at the University of Wisconsin, Freda served as a lecturer of taxidermy at the Weihr Nature Center in Milwaukee. Freda has been interested in high-fire enameling on aluminum and slumping aluminum since 1981.
