ABSTRACT
The article profiles New Orleans, Louisiana-based ornament artist John Flemming, honorable mention at the 1984 Ornament Jewelry International Competition. Flemming received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Notre Dame, with an emphasis on mixed-media shows and performance pieces. Flemming's work in leather began in India as a means of supporting himself during his travels.
