The article profiles Cincinnati, Ohio-based jeweler Stuart Golder, first prize winner at the 1984 Ornament Jewelry International Competition. Golder developed an interest in weaving metals during the time that he and his wife, a weaver, were homesteading and raising sheep. Golder has taken many workshops from well-known metalsmiths. He was awarded by the Ohio Arts Council two artist's fellowships. He received a craftsmen's fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts in 1981.
