ABSTRACT
The article discusses how the heat balance review of the boiler, steam, and condensate cycle can yield double-digit energy savings in the U.S. According to the author, closing a condensate cycle to capture every available British thermal unit typically results in double-digit fuel savings. It is suggested that proper selection of condensate-system components is essential to the maximization of savings.
