ABSTRACT
The article offers a synopsis of the direction and accomplishments of boiler industry in the U.S. One of the most important accomplishments of boiler industry is the development of super boiler which combines a proven efficient packaged boiler system and a highly efficient combustion to deliver ultralow emissions and inordinately high fuel-to-steam efficiencies. It was proven that a super boiler with full heat recovery has the potential to save $4 billion in fuel and facility costs.
