ABSTRACT
The article reports on a warning from the National Farmers' Union that millions of pounds worth of strawberries and other soft fruit could be left to rot in fields because of a shortage of foreign pickers. There is a possibility that farmers will struggle to recruit enough workers as the falling value of the pound and new restrictions on the number of seasonal labourers allowed into Great Britain.
