ABSTRACT
The article discusses the use of 2-point polar modulation in the development of SEQ7400 multi-mode transceiver by Sequoia Communications in San Diego, California. It is expressed that polar modulation supports schemes such as wideband code division multiple access (WDCMA) and long term evolution. The process splits the transmitted signal into AM and FM components, and modulates them onto the phase lock loop (PLL) and enhanced data rates for GSM Evolution (EDGE). It states that the transceiver supports narrow band and wide band modulation scheme.
