The article discusses the announcement by the Bibliothèque nationale de France in Paris of a new Europeana web portal, a multilingual access to digitized European cultural heritage and a gateway to the European Digital Library. CENL, the Conference of European National Librarians, applauded the effort and announced a foundation to anchor the collection legally.
