ABSTRACT
The article discusses the evolution of the largest bibliographic repository, the Online Computer Library Center (OCLC), and its catalogue known as WorldCat with some 77 million titles and 54,000 participating libraries. Specifically, the author addresses the German National Library's (DNB) input into the WorldCat database.
