ABSTRACT
The article discusses a renewable energy project funded by the producers of the film "An Inconvenient Truth" which gave money to NativeEnergy, a carbon offset company, to buy methane gas emitted from cow manure from a Pennsylvania dairy farm. The article questions whether NativeEnergy created a new carbon offset or merely charged customers for an existing resource. The nature of the carbon-offset market is analyzed.
