Charter, LIN Engage In Retrans Fight

The article reports on the announcement made by LIN TV Corp. on negotiations with Charter Communications Inc. have broken down in the U.S. LIN revealed that its deal with Charter will expire on June 30, 2008. The firm stated that the negotiations appear unlikely to result in a retransmission-consent agreement where it expects Charter to stop carriage of its television stations when the current contract expires.
