ABSTRACT
The article announces the plans of the BYK-Chemie GmbH to take over the company grounds, plant and staff at the Kempen location between Belgium and Netherlands from the Altana subsidiary Elantas Beck. The location will be first used for the manufacture of primary and intermediate products needed for making additives. According to Roland Peter, Division Manager of BYK Additives & Instruments, the rationale behind the takeover is to secure long-term availability of many primary products important for the company's own products.
