The article discusses the merits of interviews in hiring people. To a certain extent, it is said that an interview is not an accurate judgement on capabilities of people because they often underestimate the large role that context plays in people's behavior during the process. Psychologists call this tendency to fixate on stable traits as fundamental attribution error. However, the author said structured interviewing may also have narrow objective but it is the only kind of interviewing that has success in predicting performances.
