ABSTRACT
The article reports on the increase in the sales of furniture retailers in the U.S. during the Memorial Day holiday given promotions of furniture products. According to Todd Wanek, president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Ashley Furniture Industries, most of the stores are reporting good computer store sales increases. Marty Darvin, co-owner of Darvin Furniture, was pleased with Memorial Day activity because sales were up by 11.5 percent.
