ABSTRACT
The article discusses Italy's relation with other countries. It states that Italy was the founding member of the European Community, also called European Union (EU). The country was admitted to the United Nations in 1955 and has been a strong supporter of international groups like the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
