ABSTRACT
The article focuses on chief executive of Zappos.com Inc., Tony C. Hsieh. The site founded as an online shoe retailing site in the year 1999 after eight years has an inventory of 4 million shoes in 200,000 styles from 1,200 shoemakers, including Bruno Magli, Nike and Ugg. Hsieh believed that the company's reputation for customer service can help it stand for more than footwear and expanded Zappos into clothes, cookware, electronics, bedding and toys.
