ABSTRACT
The article presents information on the effect of rising energy prices, the attitude of Burmese government in cyclone Nargis, 2008 and reviews a book "Hold Tight" by Harlan Coben. It states that given the political and economic consequences of the inflation the non seriousness of the U.S. governments fuels the suspicion of market manipulation. It predicts that once the shock and numbness from the cyclone recedes, agitation for regime change will intensify in Burma.
