ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the flexible work-life balance programs of small- to middle-size businesses. According to the Families and Work Institute data, flexibility and work-life options produce more productive employees. Ann Arbor, Michigan-based Menlo Innovations introduced an extreme job sharing scheme wherein people are paired to do a job. In security firm Infrasafe, flextime and work at home are treated as a privilege and not a right, explains president and CEO Todd Flemming.
