ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the development of biofuels in the U.S. as an alternative to carbon energy sources. Programs and devices which can lower the carbon dependency are examined and alternative technologies, such as nuclear reactors and hybrid cars, are discussed. The changing climate and the rising oil and natural gas prices in 2008 are also explored.
