ABSTRACT
The article focuses on MetLife blimp, which has provided viewers aerial-view of the PGA Tour events for nearly two decades. At 1,200 feet, this 130-foot-long, 4,400-pound, this helium-filled sky whale provides viewers a dramatic look at the game. It started in 1987, when John Creedon, then chief executive officer (CEO) of MetLife Inc., thought about this for his company's advertising campaign. Now it is a staple of the Tour's TV coverage, beaming aerial images of some 30 tournaments a year.
