ABSTRACT
The article states that TV executives and editors are in search for the right business model, as they look for TV programs with online and mobile extensions. They admit the expectations for multiplatform programming is rising. Incidentally, the failure on primetime TV of the shortform "Quarterlife," which was made for internet and mobile episodes, provides lessons to them. The audience is said to have a growing demand for content across a choice of digital platforms, but the motion picture industry has to generate revenue in order to remain viable.
