ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the first cable modems, which were given a DOCSIS 3.0 certification by CableLabs. It states that certification status was given to Ambit, Arris, Cisco, Motorola and SMC for their cable modems in CableLabs' Wave 58. Jungo stated that their Puma 5 family is the industry's first DOCSIS 3.0 compliant cable modem chipset which gives a scalable platform that allows equipment manufacturers build systems for next-generation voice, data and video service offerings.
