ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the Carlisle Barracks in Pennsylvania. It states that the School for Cavalry Practice was the first U.S. Army school at the post in 1838 and between 1946 to 1951, the barracks briefly hosted about six Army schools including the Army Security Agency School. Information on some of the current institutes at the Carlisle Barracks, including the U.S. Army War College and the Army Heritage and Education Center (AHEC), are also provided.
