The article reports on the opposition of U.S. Republican Congressman Ron Paul to the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act (GINA). According to Paul, because of the federal government's poor record in protecting privacy, he does not believe the best way to address concerns about the misuse of genetic information is through intrusive federal legislation.
