ABSTRACT
The article reports on the 2007 fourth quarter business performance of Williams-Sonoma Inc. in the U.S. The company reveals that its fourth-quarter profits have increased by 2.9% inspite of a decrease in same-store sales at its Pottery Barn company chain. Moreover, chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) Howard Lester cites that their revenues from catalog and internet sales have hiked by 12.5% during the quarter, while their revenues from retail stores have also increased to 7.7%.
