ABSTRACT
The article discusses the Strategic Skills Initiative (SSI) which aims to address job shortages and skills requirements in Indiana. The program prioritizes health care and manufacturing in northwest Indiana such as providing nursing students with training and a summer manufacturing boot camp introducing robotics and computer-aided drafting. Details related to the funded initiatives in south-central Indiana are presented.
