ABSTRACT
The article presents an update on the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). The CIPD has appointed Jim Stewart as its new chief examiner for learning and development. A CIPD reward forum seminar on May 14, 2008 will look at the challenges of structuring the right deal for employees. Four leading commentators have produced think pieces reflecting on different aspects of the annual Learning and Development survey of the CIPD.
