The article provides information on a study commissioned by Produce for Kids (PFK) which identified the fruits and vegetables that parents in the U.S., usually moms, are buying, and it also explored the factors that motivate kids to eat fresh produce. Sponsors of the study are cited. Among the more telling highlights, or lowlights, of the study: just 38 percent of parents say their children eat two servings of fresh fruit and vegetables per day, and worse, 43 percent of parents report that their children consume one daily serving or less.
